Well, it is almost time for the first part of the Charity Walk in aid of the school in the Gambia. I hope that you are all limbered up ready for the exertion ahead.
I hope that we have all been busy trying to raise as much as we can for the school. I don't want to be the instigator of a competition, but I am hopeful of reaching my own personal 'Target for the First Walk' of £50 by Saturday.
Lets hope that I will come bottom of the league!!!
Mr Wilson has made arrangements for two cars (and wouldn't it be nice if they looked like the one below!!!) to go from Gresty's Waste to Frodsham with the following passengers:

Car 1
Pam, Phil ,Phill, Michael
Car 2
Jane, Jane, Wendy, Will and John
As we know, there is a cafe part way along the route, but maybe slipping a bag of crisps and a sandwich in our pockets to nibble on might not be a bad idea.
It is anticipated that we ought to be back at Gresty's Waste around 3, where we will ferry each other back to Frodsham for a well earned sit down and bite to eat.
Here are a couple of reminders of who we are doing it for:

Looking forward to seeing you all!

Wow at last we are ready not just to have a good refreshing, stimulating walk together but to do it and raise some money for some children who need a little extra.
ReplyDeleteThe 34 miles of the Sandstone trail is one hell of a commitment but it is something I have always wanted to do and now is my chance to achieve that goal.
I do thank Dorothy's friends for giving me that opportunity and trust we shall have an enjoyable time completing the walk.
Hugs Glend Good.
