Glitter Words

     What a disappointment.

We were all set to start the epic walk, but the weather closed in, and we decided to cancel at the last minute.

Below freezing temperatures, gale force winds and a threatening sky forced the making of a decision late on the Friday night, but in the end we had a consensus who agreed that we ought to postpone until more clement times are with us.

But onward and upward, the walk shall be completed, just a little later than planned. You will all have received email communication from John, asking for alternative dates to see if we can do it all before the end of June, but this seems to be a problem for quite a number, so instead another possible date, September 14th, has been proposed.

Hopefully we will be able to resolve the matter soon, and put our best feet forward for Gambia.

Ready for Action?

Hi all

Well, it is almost time for the first part of the Charity Walk in aid of the school in the Gambia. I hope that you are all limbered up ready for the exertion ahead.

I hope that we have all been busy trying to raise as much as we can for the school. I don't want to be the instigator of a competition, but I am hopeful of reaching my own  personal 'Target for the First Walk' of £50 by Saturday.

Lets hope that I will come bottom of the league!!!

Mr Wilson has made arrangements for two cars (and wouldn't it be nice if they looked like the one below!!!) to go from Gresty's Waste to Frodsham with the following passengers:

Car 1

Pam, Phil ,Phill, Michael

Car 2

Jane, Jane, Wendy, Will and John

As we know, there is a cafe part way along the route, but maybe slipping a bag of crisps and a sandwich in our pockets to nibble on might not be a bad idea.

It is anticipated that we ought to be back at Gresty's Waste around 3, where we will ferry each other back to Frodsham for a well earned sit down and bite to eat.

Here are a couple of reminders of who we are doing it for:

Looking forward to seeing you all!

Will
